Robert C. “Rob” Mornan Remembered For Service, Leadership, Education, And Community Impact After Passing On June 20, 2026
Robert C. “Rob” Mornan, also known as RJ, passed away after a sudden medical illness, with family and friends near them in their final days.
Rob earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Master’s degree in Data Analytics at the University at Albany.
At UAlbany, Rob served as a Resident Assistant, Purple and Gold Ambassador, Orientation Leader, Peer Educator, Housing Manager, and mentor to many students.
Rob later worked as a Computer Systems Analyst with the New York State Unified Court System and founded Helping All People International, also known as H.A.P.I.
Friends remember Rob for kindness, humor, warmth, and the welcoming spirit they shared through gatherings, board games, movies, anime, and community service.
A fundraiser created by Mahamadu Sillah on June 20, 2026, had raised $1,845 toward an $8K goal through 23 donations for funeral and memorial expenses.
